About Pilsen
Pilsen also called Plzen in Czech, is a city in western Bohemia in the Czech Republic. About 90 kilometres west of Prague, it is the fourth most populous city in the Czech Republic. Two interesting Pilsen facts to amaze you about Pilsen: it has the third biggest synagogue in the world and the highest tower in the Czech Republic which is on the Cathedral of St. Bartholomew. Of course, you have to visit the brewery. Plzeňský Prazdroj runs an excellent, 90 minute tour. English tours are run daily as well.
