About Pruhonice
Průhonice has been a traditional destination for many visitors from the entire Czech Republic and a favourite leisure destination for people from Prague and surrounding areas. Picturesque village with trendy restaurants, huge shopping centre with commercial area, one of the biggest aquaparks in central Europe, but most importantly the fantastic Průhonice Park which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is a Czech National Historic Landmark as well. The natural park (area of 250 hectares) was founded in the year 1885 and the park resulted in an original masterpiece of garden landscape architecture of worldwide importance. Worth visiting is the nearby Dendrological Garden which is an important research and test centre institution.
