About Pec pod Snezkou

The biggest and the most important Czech mountain tourist resort Pec pod Snezkou sits 769m high in the Krkonose mountains jsut below the highest Czech mountain Snezka (1602m). Orignialy a mining town dates back to 15th century. Mining officially finished in the mid 20th century. Pec pod Snezkou is known as a tourist destination since mid 19th centrury, but  the biggest boom started in the beginning of 20th centrury.
